Restoration of your dental implant can come in many forms. If you are have a single tooth replaced it will often look, feel and function much
like that of a tradition crown. If multiple teeth are to be replaced you and Dr. Hancock may choose to replace each tooth individually or take
advantage of fixed bridges or removable dentures. Fixed bridges will function like that of their tooth borne counterpart but without the
susceptibility to decay that natural teeth have. As their name indicates the restoration is fixed and can only be removed by a dentist.
Removable dentures have a quite different look and functionality to them when placed on or attached to implants. Since the implants will be
providing the retention, much of the excess material for stability is no longer necessary and retention is still improved considerably over that
of traditional dentures. In any case, your dental implant will serve as the anchor for your new prosthesis giving it a much more natural look and
function. This is why we refer to our implant restorations as "the closest thing to natural teeth."
